Jose Mourinho appointed Tottenham manager

Jose Mourinho has been appointed as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.

The Portuguese will take his first training session on Wednesday afternoon.

His first match is against West Ham on Saturday, handing a fresh start to the squad and opportunities to prove themselves and win a starting role.

Players such as Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld could all be back in favour.
