Premier League weekend round-up

Claude Puel will look to do his talking on the pitch and get back to winning ways after his side’s opening-day defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman laughed off speculation that he is facing the sack, but will hope that a similar performance to the one they gave in their 2-1 defeat to José Mourinho’s side yields a positive result this time around.

Jamie Vardy “has a good chance to start” according to his manager, and the England international will look to kick on after his late goal last weekend.

Wolves however will be buoyed by their opening day result, coming from behind to salvage a point against Everton at Molineux thanks to a Raul Jimenez goal ten minutes from time.

Nuno’s side face the two Manchester clubs as part of their next four league fixtures after Saturday, and he will therefore realise the importance of not coming away from Leicester empty handed.

What time does it start?

Leicester City vs Wolves kicks off at 3PM (BST)

Where can I watch it?

The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK.

Independent Sport will keep you up-to-date with all the goals as they go in on our live blog.

Highlights will be available at 10:30PM on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Rachid Ghezzal: The 26-year-old winger was brought in as Riyad Mahrez’s replacement and although Leicester supporters saw less than half an hour from him, he must try and make more of an impact when given the chance to keep pace with the club’s other new signings. Both Ricardo and James Maddison were impressive all over the pitch, causing all sorts of problems, and Ghezzal must try and replicate their quality out wide with his speed, or he may face limited opportunities given Leicester’s positive performance against United without him.

Stat…

Four: The reverse fixture 15 years ago produced a piece of Premier League history. A team has only come from three goals down to win on three other occasions, and Wolves achieved the feat at Molineux after trailing 3-0 at half-time.

Remember when…

Leicester City will be wary of Nuno’s side’s set-piece given Ruben Neves’ ability, and they should not look to their meeting with Wolves in September 2012 for inspiration, as Sylvain Ebanks-Blake and Richard Stearman both capitalised from slack marking to put the home side into a 2-0 lead. However, Paul Konchesky’s wonderful long-range effort was certainly inspirational, even if it did not inspire a Leicester fightback on the day.

Player to watch…

Ruben Neves: Not one soul in the ground was surprised when the 21-year-old Portuguese curled in a delightful free-kick past Jordan Pickford last week. Everton were sick of the sight of the midfielder by the end of the fixture at a wet Molineux, pinging deep passes and even mopping up behind the defence at times, and that was before he delivered for Jimenez’s equaliser.

Past three-meetings…

Leicester City 2 (Knockaert, Nugent) Wolves 1 (Sako), Championship, January 2013

Wolves 2 (Ebanks-Blake, Stearman) Leicester 1 (Konchesky), Championship, September 2012

Wolves 1 (Jarvis) Leicester 1 (Hume), Championship, December 2007

Form guide…

LEICESTER: L

WOLVES: D

Odds…

Leicester City to win: 21/20

Bournemouth to win: 11/4

Draw: 49/20
