Liverpool currently have the most prolific striker within the Premier League in Luis Suarez, who has scored six goals in their last three games in all competitions, but Tottenham have a Welshman in Gareth Bale who too has the ability to turn a game on its head with his finishing.

Liverpool’s form has been up and down this season, but the side look a lot more comfortable playing the Brendan Rogers way compared to the start of the season. Suarez, the stand out performer so far, terrorised Wigan’s defence in their last league game scoring a hat trick, and it looks like the Uruguayan is in the form of his life.

Tottenham will go into this game with wins over rivals Arsenal and Inter Milan firmly in their minds and the club have set their sights on catching champions Man City in second place, just five points ahead of them.

Since being given that free role when attacking, most teams have struggled to handle Bale, and with Arsene Wenger saying his side needed no special plans for the Welshman and failing to keep him off the score sheet, it will be interesting to see how Rodgers approaches the task.
