Liverpool vs Crystal Palace: Banner appears over Anfield claiming 'In Rodgers we trust' as Reds support their manager
Doubts have emerged over Rodgers' future but the Reds' faithful are backing their manager
The dreaded banner returned over Anfield as Liverpool’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace got underway, but Brendan Rodgers will have breathed a sigh of relief once he caught sight of what it said.
Just two weeks after a similar banner called for “Rodgers out Rafa in” in a call for former head coach Rafael Benitez to return to the club, “In Rodgers we trust” could be seen flying over Merseyside.
Not that many people noticed though, as Anfield was busy paying tribute to Steven Gerrard ahead of his final match at Anfield before he leaves the club at the end of the season.

Former England footballer Gary Lineker couldn’t resist taking aim at Rodgers on Twitter though, and joked that the Norther Irishman himself could be behind the plane to give himself a bit of a boost.
“Great to see Brendan Rodgers hiring a plane and banner for such a momentous occasion,” posted Lineker.
