Tonight could have a big impact over the outcome of the struggles at both ends of the Premier League table.

While the same could be said of any match day between now and May, Arsenal and Tottenham face crucial tests if they are to lift the title at the end of the season.

Spurs travel the short distance across the capital to face West Ham United while the Gunners must fight a way past Swansea City, without manager Francesco Guidolin who has been taken to hospital with a chest infection.

Meanwhile Newcastle can climb out of the relegation zone with three points at Stoke as Manchester United welcome Watford to Old Trafford. Finally, there's the small matter of a re-run of the Capital One Cup final as victors Manchester City attempt to double Liverpool's woe at Anfield.

And we're off!

We've still got a little while to wait for the action to get underway at Manchester United and Liverpool but the two matches most neutrals care most about, involving the title race, are off and running. Arsenal and Spurs know tonight could set them up for glory or derail their campaigns. Big night for Stoke and Newcastle too, it's worth saying, as their respective European and survival chances hang in the balance.
