Luis Suarez and the 'Easter miracle': Liverpool striker shows both sides as he reaches 30 Premier League goals but play acts yet again

The Uruguayan played a central role in the 3-2 win over Norwich

As Liverpool close in on the Premier League title, Luis Suarez continues to amaze and astound for both the right and wrong reasons this season.

The Liverpool striker scored in the 3-2 win over Norwich to take his Premier League tally for the season to 30 goals - joining an elite club of just six other players to reach that mark in the Premier League era.

The Uruguayan's off-the-ball run was also instrumental in opening up space for Raheem Sterling to score his second goal of the match.

Norwich were always going to be wary of Suarez - earlier this season he scored his third hat-trick against the Canaries – a Premier League record for one player against a single club.

Speaking to The Independent on Sunday three months later after the meeting between the sides at Anfield, the Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy analysed why Suarez sometimes appears unplayable. "It’s his speed of thought," Ruddy said. "He is taking shots people wouldn't consider in a million years, he is pulling them off and making people look stupid."

However, aside from making his opponents look stupid, Suarez also looked rather foolish himself this afternoon.

It would seem that whatever levels the Liverpool striker can rise to, he continues to stoop to play acting whenever their is an opportunity to benefit his side.

In yesterday afternoon's game, he appeared to go down in agony after a coming together with Leroy Fer, but with the Reds quickly winning back possession, he managed to recover in a split second, in a moment described as an 'Easter miracle' to help out with the counter attack.

After the move broke down Suarez then began to hobble around again as if he had suddenly remembered he was meant to be acting injured.

Norwich fans already didn't like him for scoring so many goals against their side - now they have another reason.
