Lukas Podolski is not taking anything for granted in the pursuit of fourth place in the Premier League.

The Germany striker scored twice as his side won 3-0 at Hull in an FA Cup Final dress rehearsal, helping the Gunners keep their grip on the last Champions League spot.

He is not ready to look ahead to another season in Europe's top competition yet, though.

"It's important to get fourth place, but it's important to go match to match," he told Sky Sports.

"We now look forward to our next game against Newcastle because every game is important."

Podolski's goals came from his unfavoured position on the left wing but he said: "When you score the goals nobody speaks about where you play. The coach makes the decision where we play and it is just important to get the three points."

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey also scored on his first start since December after injury.

The Wales international has been a big miss for boss Arsene Wenger but he does not think Arsenal will have the edge in the FA Cup Final as a result of this win.

"It's important for us to come here and get the win, to keep our position in the league," he said.

"We have beaten Hull twice but are not going to take them lightly. They are a well organised team, get crosses in and we can't rely on our previous performances against them."
