Manchester United forward Angel Di Maria has admitted a move to Paris St Germain would have been a "great experience".

The winger came close to joining the Ligue 1 side over the summer prior to sealing a switch to Manchester United.

Following his move to United from Real Madrid, in which he arrived for a British transfer record fee of £59.7m, the Argentina international has made a quick impact. In his nine games for the Red Devils, the 26-year-old has scored three goals and brought back the type of rapid wing play that the club are synonymous with.

However, despite appearing to settle at Old Trafford, Di Maria admits the option of joining the French champions would have also been a positive switch.

"I have no regrets about leaving the Real Madrid," he told French broadcaster Telefoot.

"Paris, it would have been a great experience. It would please a lot of players to play at a French club."

Di Maria and Manchester United will next be in action when they take on Arsenal following the international break.
