Manchester United vs Arsenal: 'It's time for vengeance'

FAN' VIEW: Supporters give their view ahead of Sunday's massive match

Manchester United - Matt Gault

It's time for vengeance after that humiliating display at the Emirates earlier in the season.

Defeat to Sunderland didn't exactly help Van Gaal's already tenuous position as manager and although reports are claiming that Woodward may stick with him until the end of the season, it's possible to view this game as a last chance saloon for the Dutchman. The injury list is a massive problem and we always seem to miss Rooney's character and experience in games like this, so it's all about the likes of Martial, Mata and Memphis showing that they can stand up to an impressive Arsenal side who will doubtless be looking to bounce back after their bruising Champions League encounter with Barcelona.

United-Arsenal games don't have the showdown factor of yesteryear and I don't expect this to be one of the season's memorable games. Considering our injuries and form, I'm going for a 1-0 Arsenal win.

Arsenal - Lewis Potton

After a catastrophic, if not predictable, defeat to Barcelona in midweek, we need to win against Manchester United and banish those Messi memories. With their title credentials questioned by Chelsea and Leicester recently, we need to produce a performance worthy of winning the Premier League.

It's now time to drop Giroud and give Danny Welbeck the striking role against his old club. The Frenchman is a good player, but Welbeck has the power and pace to really trouble United and their leaky defence. I'd personally look to exploit Blind at the back as he's no match for our pace and movement in the final third.

With both teams desperate for points, I'm hoping this will be an old school clash between the two sides. It might have been unsavoury but we all loved Keane vs. Vieira, not to mention Keown's antics. It's time for us to get stuck in and show everyone we are the league's best side. It'll finish 2-0 Arsenal, I hope.
