Manchester United fans hoping to see the club play Barcelona in a pre-season tour in the US will be charged up to £1,000 for the most expensive tickets.

Louis van Gaal's team play Barcelona on 25 July at the home of the NFL's San Franciso 49ers, Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, California.

But the match will cost fans between $75 (£48) and a whopping $1,500 (£965) for the most expensive seats.

Supporters interested in following the side in the International Champions Cup, which also features Chelsea among others, will have their work cut out, with the side travelling around 11,500 miles from Manchester to Seattle, Santa Clara, Chicago and back to Manchester.

The game against Club America in Seattle will be much cheaper, with the costliest ticket coming in at $145 (£93), whilst the game against Paris Saint-Germain in Chicago will cost from $90 (£58) to $650 (£423).

Chelsea fans are getting a much better deal, with their game against Barcelona on 28 July at the Washington Redskins' FedExField costing between $65 (£41) and $450 (£289).
