Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, who played on for 43 minutes after injuring his hamstring in the 1-1 Champions League draw at Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, could now be sidelined for six weeks, his manager Arsene Wenger has revealed today.

In the aftermath of the game in Munich, Wenger said that Ozil would be out for "a few weeks", but has confirmed today that it could be as much of a month-and-a-half until the club's £42.5m record signing plays again, meaning he faces a battle to feature in the FA Cup semi-final against Wigan at Wembley on 12 April.

Speaking ahead of the north London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, Wenger said: "When the minimum is three, the maximum is six so let's say four weeks out.

"Ozil had a very good game against Everton but he was handicapped early on in the Bayern game.

"It's a blow to lose Ozil but I'm confident we have the quality to deal without him. We have many good players in our squad."

While Ozil will not play any part in the Premier League clash at White Hart Lane on Sunday, one player that is set to appear is the Swedish midfielder Kim Kallstrom, who could finally make his Arsenal debut after signing for the club with a back injury on transfer deadline day in January. The man he was signed to deputise for, however, Aaron Ramsey is still not available. The Welshman injured his thigh on Boxing Day in the 3-1 win at West Ham, but suffered a setback in training in January and is still not ready.

"Kallstrom is back in the squad and will be available for Sunday," Wenger said. "[But] Ramsey still has recurrent pains in his thigh, we have to be very cautious with him."

It's better news on the injury front for left-back Nacho Monreal (foot) and striker Yaya Sanogo (ankle), who are both back in training and should feature, but Kieran Gibbs is a doubt.

"Monreal is definitely available, Gibbs we are not sure about," Wenger revealed today. "He had a positive test yesterday and has a chance to be available on Sunday."
