Jamie Vardy starts up front for Leicester City as he aims to equal former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League games.

The 28-year-old frontman was a doubt for his side's trip to Newcastle United with a hip injury picked up while on duty with England.

Vardy missed both of the national team's friendlies against Spain and France last week but has recovered in time to make his record attempt.

Claudio Ranieri makes one change from the team that beat Watford last time out, with Leonardo Ulloa replacing Jeffrey Schlupp.

Steve McClaren names an unchanged side from the 1-0 away victory over AFC Bournemouth before the international break.

Ayoze Perez, the goalscorer at the Vitality Stadium, starts amid rumours linking him with a January move to Old Trafford.
