Patrice Evra decides to stay at Manchester United for another year
Patrice Evra has ignored speculation linking him with a move to Italy or France and agreed to extend his contract with Manchester United by a year.
Evra's current deal was due to expire next week and with United strongly linked with Southampton left-back Luke Shaw it was thought the 32-year-old defender would be on his way out of Old Trafford, with a move to Internazionale or Monaco mooted.
However, United's official Twitter account reported: "We can confirm that Patrice Evra has extended his contract at mufc for another year." Evra joined United in 2006 and made 45 appearances this season.
