If anyone doubted Phil Jones' commitment to the Manchester United cause - watch the video below.

During the Premier League meeting with Arsenal at Old Trafford, the England international proved he was willing to put his body (or more specifically his face) on the line to stop the opposition.

Having lost his footing and with Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud threatening to steal in, Jones scrambles along the floor before getting a touch on the ball with his his head.

Whilst Jones should be commended for his commitment, he's not the first defender to risk personal injury to the noggin. John Terry memorably turned his head into a human shield at the 2010 World Cup.

Manchester United were leading 1-0 at the time.
