Each week, The Independent looks ahead to the weekend's action in the Premier League, focusing on the key matches and the major talking points.

This week, Simon Rice and James Orr focus on the London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea. Spurs are finally picking up some form and are knocking on the door of the top four, while Chelsea have only won one of their last four league away games. The White Hart faithful will be hoping their team can avenge their 3-0 drubbing earlier in the season.

Another top-of-the-table clash sees Arsenal face Southampton, with the Gunners travelling south after an important win at West Ham at the weekend which saw them climb above the Hammers into fifth place.

Elsewhere, the team previews Newcastle's game against Burnley, with Sean Dyche's men doing well while the Magpies are searching for a new boss as it appears Alan Pardew is destined for former club Crystal Palace.
