Each week, The Independent will look ahead to the weekend's action in the Premier League with a video detailing the key things to watch out for during the matches.

This week, Jack De Menezes and James Orr preview the Monday night clash between Southampton and Manchester United. The bubble has somewhat burst for the Saints following two straight defeats against Manchester City and Arsenal. Ronald Koeman's men still sit in third place but are just one point ahead of United.

Southampton will be hoping Graziano Pelle can perform to give the team some breathing room, although United are on the up with four wins in a row, with Robin van Persie and Marouane Fellaini impressing in recent matches.

The player to watch will feature in the Saturday late afternoon match between Manchester City and Everton: Kevin Mirallas. The Belgian scored a wonder goal against Spurs last weekend, bring his tally of goals so far this season to five. His pairing with Romelu Lukaku could prove deadly against the champions.

Lastly, a possible upset of the weekend could be at the Britannia Stadium as the Gunners travel to Stoke City. However, it's not that Mark Hughes' team might end their run of three league defeats in a row: the upset could be Arsenal prevailing, having not won at Stoke since February 2010 when Aaron Ramsey broke his leg in a 3-1 victory.
