Red-eye Harry Redknapp in a rush to sign new recruits for QPR

Manager witnesses Tottenham draw before rushing to watch potential signing

Harry Redknapp, who says he is not sleeping well, as "my whole life is consumed by saving QPR", had another long day on Saturday, overseeing the draw at home to his former club Tottenham before rushing to France to watch the Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila.

Queen's Park Rangers will have to offer more money for M'Vila and West Bromwich Albion's Peter Odemwingie, but they should soon be able to confirm the loan transfer of Jake Livermore from Spurs, and Redknapp believes an improved run may help convince new players to join the fight against relegation.

In the meantime, he has praised the efforts of old stagers such as Ryan Nelsen, whom Toronto want in place as their manager in the next six weeks, Clint Hill, Shaun Derry and Jamie Mackie.

"They get written off," Redknapp said, "but they are giving it everything and I can't ask for any more. They are good lads, not earning big money, but you can rely on them to come out and have a go. They are great guys to have around."
