Southampton vs West Brom team news: Shane Long remains on the bench as Ronald Koeman names unchanged side

Alan Irvine also keeps the same team from Sunderland draw

Ronald Koeman has elected to keep £12m striker Shane Long on the Southampton bench as he names the same side that suffered a late defeat against Liverpool.

The decision means Long, who played the final 15 minutes at Anfield, will play behind Graziano Pelle who starts as a lone striker - Southampton were the better team for long periods against Liverpool last week and unlucky not to get at least a point.

Alan Irvine has also decided to keep the same team he selected for the draw with Sunderland.

The Baggies should have won that game, but a late lapse in concentration allowed Sunderland to grab an equlaiser.
