Tottenham have offered a full refund to supporters who want to return their season tickets following the £3m sale of David Ginola to Aston Villa.

Tottenham have offered a full refund to supporters who want to return their season tickets following the £3m sale of David Ginola to Aston Villa.

"Quotes from fans stating they would not have bought a season ticket if they knew David Ginola was going has highlighted to the board a genuine possibility that this scenario may exist," the club said in a statement.

"Any fan wishing to return their season ticket may do so by August 15 whereby a full refund will be given. The club would not like to feel that any of its fans have been misled."

The 33-year-old Frenchman became a favourite of the Spurs crowd with his left-wing flamboyance and spectacular goals. However, a tendency to drift out of games led to a sometimes strained relationship with his manager, George Graham.
