South African says Stoke are a different team under Mark Hughes

A bullish Steven N'Zonzi is looking forward to playing Arsenal on Saturday and says that Stoke will beat the Gunners with their new and improved brand of football.

Arsenal have a terrible record at the Britannia Stadium since Stoke were promoted to the Premier League in 2008, losing four and winning just one of the seven matches played at the stadium in all competitions.

But whereas Stoke have bullied Arsenal in the past, N'Zonzi says the football played under Mark Hughes is much improved from the long-ball seen under Tony Pulis.

In the past Arsenal have complained at the rough treatment handed out by the Stoke players - including Ryan Shawcross' infamous leg-breaking tackle on Aaron Ramsey.

"Arsenal don't like coming to Stoke and that is important for us to know before these games," the midfielder told the Daily Telegraph. "When you are physical against a technical team they don't really like it, that is obvious. They are not a physical side and prefer technical players over tall and strong.

"It is good to be physical and be close to them so you have an advantage. Our style of play is different now, though, and we have good quality. Can we beat them with football this time? Of course.

"With Tony Pulis it was more the physical play and focusing on the defensive side and we had a really strong team.

"Under Mark Hughes it is different, we try and pass the ball more and the style of football is changing at Stoke City. We are always ready for this type of game and so it's a good challenge."
