Mauricio Pochettino has dropped Vlad Chiriches from his matchday squad after his poor showing against Chelsea, with young English defender Eric Dier recalled to start at right-back for the match against Crystal Palace.

Dier’s return is one of two changes made by Spurs who are looking to return to winning ways after the 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge, with Roberto Soldado starting in attack at the expense of Aaron Lennon.

It means that Erik Lamela and Ryan Mason continue in midfield, while Nacer Chadli remains on the bench as he continues his recovery from injury, while captain Younes Kaboul remains among the substitutes.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock makes just one change to the side that lost 1-0 at home against Aston Villa in midweek, with Joe Ledley coming in for Dwight Gayle. It means that Marouane Chamakh leads the line of attack on his own, but he’ll be flanked by Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha from midfield.
