With a 100% win ratio on their pre-season tour of Asia, Arsenal fans may be hoping to finally see some magic at the club after their lengthy spell without a trophy.
But it seems forward Lukas Podolski has attempted to inject his own sense of magic into both the squad and the fans as Arsenal wrapped up their tour with an autograph session with some of their supporters in Japan.
The latest craze sweeping through the Gunners squad is the noise the German international keeps making, with an “ah haa” sound resonating throughout the players as they sign memorabilia for their younger fans.
Podolski even goes a step further to teach the awaiting crowd, getting them to recreate the noise in unison as he peers out from behind a hidden screen.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gives the run-down of what the noise is about, before the majority of the squad – including Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Wojciech Szszesny – give their best attempt at the “ah haa”.
The goalkeeper manages to pull it off the best, but it’s a poor effort from the right-back department, with both Carl Jenkinson and Bacary Sagna unlikely to start an impersonation career anytime soon.
