Wayne Rooney: Manchester United striker has not played at Anfield since 2011... and has just one goal in 835 minutes against Liverpool there

In games for Everton and United at Anfield, Rooney has only been on the winning side three times in 11 matches in all competitions

Wayne Rooney must  hate visiting Anfield like no other ground in world football.

As a Liverpudlian who has played for Liverpool's two biggest rivals, Everton and Manchester United, the striker draws fury from Reds fans like few others.

But when it comes to games at Anfield, the England and Manchester United captain has faltered, badly.

In 11 matches in all competitions Rooney has scored just one goal at the famous stadium - a total of 835 minutes on the pitch. He's had just 10 shots in total during the matches and of those only three, including the goal, have been on target.

He's only added one assist and created just seven chances for team-mates. The solitary goal came all the way back in a 1-0 win in January 2005.

Rooney has only been on the winning side on three occasions and not since December 2007 has that happened. Of the 11 total games - 10 in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup - he's won three, drawn four and lost four.

Rooney enters the game in brilliant form

In fact, Rooney (for various reasons) has not played at the stadium since a 1-1 draw in October 2011, while Manchester United have not won there since September 2012.
