Southampton reaffirmed the impending sense of doom at West Ham as they cruised to a 3-0 victory at the London Stadium.

The Hammers continue to languish in the bottom three after more woeful defending saw them slip to a fifth defeat in six Premier League matches.

This is the side's third straight defeat at their new stadium which has so far failed to emulate the atmosphere of the old ground.

Slaven Bilic's side were pitiful - they have conceded 14 in their last four league games - and Southampton could have won by more.

It was the visitors, instead, who looked most at home at West Ham's new stadium as Charlie Austin, Dusan Tadic and James Ward-Prose all ran riot.

Austin opened the scoring five minutes before half-time and went on to assist Tadic for the second.

Ward-Prowse added a third in injury time to give Southampton a first away win of the season and take them up to ninth in the table.

The Hammers are confident that some good performances on the pitch will ease some of the resentment in the stands caused by their move from Upton Park to the London Stadium - but this was certainly no way to go about it.

So how did the two teams fare? See the gallaery above for our player ratings.
