Yaya Toure and David Silva have settled on a way to decide who scored the opening goal for Manchester City against West Brom on Monday night.

By having an arm wrestle.

The Dubious Goals Panel is yet to step in officially on the matter and with the Premier League website crediting it to Toure and the Manchester City website to Silva, a rift has emerged in the dressing room (a friendly one).

Toure had the original shot but it's not very clear if it was on target before it hit a West Brom defender and then the Spaniard before finding the net.

The Ivorian midfielder wanted to settle the dispute and took to Twitter to resolve it - and the odds seem heavily stacked in his favour.

The 6ft 2in, 14-stone Toure has challenged 5ft 7in, 10-stone Silva... to an arm-wrestle.

Here's how it unfolded:

Unfortunately for Yaya Toure the goal panel later had their say - and gave it to Silva...

He'll just have to be happy with the stunning goal that put City 2-0 up.
