Manchester United and Real Madrid have been inextricably linked this summer, with much talk of various players moving between the clubs.

Sergio Ramos and a new No 1 at Real Madrid to replace Keylor Navas have been the biggest talking points and ironically the Real Madrid team-mates were involved in a three-way clash during a friendly with Manchester City.

The the third member of the coming together, Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, was hit so hard by Navas that he was probably left unsure who he played for as well.

Despite the 'friendly' nature of the match, both sides selected strong teams and didn't appear to be holding back.

That became all too apparent when Ramos tried to shield a ball back to his goalkeeper that Toure sensed he could take advantage of. Only in a desperate bid to impress Navas came flying off his line to punch the ball away. In the course of clearing the ball, Toure was flattened and Ramos was also hurt. The duo received medical attention for some time before the match continued.

The game was level 0-0 at the time.
