Hibernian target capital gains

Hibernian will be looking to complete a Glasgow double for Edinburgh tomorrow. Last weekend Rangers were knocked off the top of the SPL when they lost in the capital to Hearts. Celtic took over the summit but they must now defend their lead at third-placed Hibs.

It would seem a good time for Hibs, progressing nicely under former Celt John Collins, to play the champions as they had a long and dispiriting trip to Ukraine to play Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek.

Striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink insists not. "You can take revenge very quickly," he said. "We hadn't lost a game this season, that was the first game, and let's hope it's one of the only defeats we are going to get. The focus is now on the league."

Celtic are at full strength while Hibs have Clayton Donaldson suspended.

Rangers are at home to Aberdeen tomorrow. Barry Ferguson is fit, his knee having survived the rigours of the midweek win over VfB Stuttgart.
