Goalkeeper Mark Brown lamented Hibernian's own failures and refused to point the finger of blame at referee Craig Thomson after Saturday's 5-1 Scottish Cup final loss against Hearts.

Hibs were frustrated at a number of decisions from Thomson, who awarded Hearts and second half penalty and sent off Pa Kujabi. Manager Pat Fenlon was also sent to the stand for an offensive gesture.

Brown said: "People had problems with the penalty decision. But I don't think we can blame the referee for our performance from the start. Hearts started well and, at times, passed us off the park.

"You could say the penalty was a big decision that changed the game, but overall I don't think we were good enough as a team."
