Round-Up: Hearts lose to Hamilton in spiteful affair

Yesterday's Scottish Premier League game between Hamilton and Heart of Midlothian was marred by a bust-up in the tunnel which appears to have resulted in three players and a masseur being sent off after the final whistle.

Hamilton won 2-1 at New Douglas Park after the Hearts captain Michael Stewart and defender Ismael Bouzid were shown red cards during the game itself. The bad blood then spilled over into the tunnel, with Hamilton confirming substitute striker Leon Knight had been sent off for violent conduct. Hearts believe midfielder Ian Black, winger Suso Santana and masseur Alan Robson were also all dismissed, with Eggert Jonsson cautioned for dissent.

Tony Mowbray, the Celtic manager, had no qualms in dropping Lukasz Zaluska for fellow Pole Artur Boruc ahead of the 3-0 Scottish Premier League win over Aberdeen at Celtic Park on Saturday.

Boruc had recovered from the knee operation which opened the door for the former Dundee United player to impress during the previous eight games, where he had arguably been Celtic's most consistent player. "They took the news in a very professional way," Mowbray said.

A Georgios Samaras double, which followed Scott McDonald's first-half opener, kept Celtic on top of the SPL table, two points ahead of Rangers who won 3-1 at Falkirk.
