Thierry Henry proved he has more than a smooth punditry style and an impeccable CV when he pulled off an insane pass during a charity match at Anfield.
Henry was taking part in the game that has been unofficially billed as a tribute to current Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard, who will be leaving this summer, when he pulled it off. That the former France international, who was playing for Gerrard's team, did it against a side captained by his fellow Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, will have made it all the sweeter.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona player shaped to shoot, but rather than have a crack at goal, slipped the ball to a team-mate. The piece of trickery was deserving of a goal, but the player he set up was Ryan Babel, so perhaps it was unsurprising that the move came to nothing.
The Gunners' legend, along with John Terry, received a few light jeers from the Liverpool crowd but his deliberate air kick managed to simultaneously win them over and remind those at Anfield just what a devastating opponent he had been when at Arsenal.

The match featured a number of Liverpool legends including Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina and Luis Suarez as well as Fernando Torres who came on for the second half.
The proceeds of the match will go towards the Liverpool Foundation along with other local charities.Reuse content
