Transfers

Maxi Pereira
Fulham are thought to be tracking Benfica right-back Maxi Peraira, having sent scouts to watch the Uruguayan international in action. The 25-year-old's contract runs out in the summer meaning a deal is there to be done. Fulham brought in Stephen Kelly as cover for John Paintsil in the summer but he has failed to impress and been limited only to Europa League appearances. Pereira can also play in midfield should the cover be needed.

Fulham: potential transfer targets

Roy Hodgson is again working miracles at Fulham. Despite spending little in the summer and playing more games due to their Europa League participation, the Cottagers are currently looking up the table.

Inside Transfers

Luca Toni
The Italian striker is perfectly frank that his relationship with new Bayern Munich boss has broken down - "Enough is enough. Our rapport is almost non-existent..." And he's also aware that mooching about on the bench or in the reserves in Germany isn't going to help his World Cup prospects too much either. The rumours are that Roma captain Francesco Totti is urging his club to sign him up, and Toni is not too subtle about that either. "Roma? I do have a good relationship with Totti..."

Sergio Aguero

Manchester United and Chelsea in battle for Aguero

Monday, 7 December 2009

Manchester United are taking a close interest in developments in the transfer of Sergio Aguero according to reports.

Alan Hutton
Moyes is likely to want to shore up his defence, which has been less disciplined than usual this season, and has long been thought to have been an admirer of fellow Scot Hutton. The right back has not settled at Tottenham and, given Spurs' manager Harry Redknapp's wheeler-dealering in any transfer window, a deal may be done for a fraction of the £9m Tottenham paid Rangers in 2008.

It's not been a glorious start to the season for Everton and some at the club are already muttering about the possibility of being sucked into a relegation battle.

AC Milan play down Gattuso Premier League switch

Monday, 7 December 2009

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has poured cold water on reports in the press that Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea are ready to make a move for Gennaro Gattuso.

Simon Kjaer
20-year-old Danish defender Simon Kjaer appears to be one of the most in demand players in Europe. He's been hugely impressive at Italian club Palermo, proving himself to be the all-round defender - good in the air, clever on the deck. Chelsea already have some huge stars at the back, but with Ricardo Carvalho losing his touch, Kjaer could be the ideal replacement before the Portuguese elder-statesman is shown the door.

Chelsea: potential transfer targets

Sunday, 6 December 2009

Chelsea look almost unstoppable this season. In every department they have experience, strength and depth.

Ben Foster
In a goalkeeping merry-go-round, with lingering doubts over David James' injury problems and interest from Spurs, Avram Grant is keen on taking Brian Jensen to Portsmouth, with Burnley interested in taking Ben Foster on loan for the rest of the season. Foster is keen to secure first team football to cement his place in the England squad before the World Cup, and is keen to go on loan to another Premier League team to get it.

Neuer becomes the latest Goalkeeper to be linked to United

Neuer not bound for United insist Schalke

Friday, 4 December 2009

Germany international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is not about to sign for Manchester United, according to his current club Schalke.

Matt Kilgallon
It remains entirely possible that the impressive Gary Cahill will be on his way in this or (more likely) the next transfer window, so Bolton may try to secure some defensive cover sooner rather than later. Kilgalllon has refused a new contract at Sheffield United so his club are likely to sell him while they can and there's a number of clubs after him in the forthcoming window, at £4m, with Bolton prominent amongst them.

Bolton Wanderers: potential transfer targets

Friday, 4 December 2009

Last year, Gary Megson looked to be making progress as Bolton eased away from relegation worries well before the season's end. So far, though, things have not been so smooth this time around.
