Alan Hutton was given permission to leave the Scotland camp today to discuss a move from Tottenham to Aston Villa.

The 26-year-old full-back has been linked with a deadline-day transfer to Villa Park, where he would be reunited with former Rangers boss Alex McLeish.

Hutton, who is currently on international duty, has fallen out of favour at Spurs and is one of several players to be linked with a move from White Hart Lane.
