Luke Shaw has praised Alexis Sanchez as “one of the best in the world” after Manchester United’s new signing took part in his first training session with the team.
The Chilean finally completed his move to Old Trafford on Monday and is in line to make his debut for the club against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup on Friday night.
He began training with the club this week – and it’s safe to say full-back Shaw was impressed with the 29-year-old’s ability.
“It was quite surprising at the start because obviously he [Sanchez] wasn't linked with us at all and everything moved really quickly,” Shaw told Flow Sports Premier.
“But really happy, obviously he's a phenomenal player. One of the best in the world, the quality he'll bring to the side will surely boost our attacking threat.
“We've already seen his quality in training and some of the things he's done is a joke.”
Jose Mourinho also heaped praise on United’s new signing earlier in the week, after Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to the Emirates Stadium in exchange.

On Sanchez, Mourinho added: “In the Premier League he has shown already the quality he has. We got one of the best attacking players in the world.
“I think he's very important for us because we want to have the best possible players.”
