Angel Di Maria has admitted that his future at Real Madrid is uncertain despite helping the side to La Decima last season, with reported interest coming from the Premier League in to form of Arsenal and Manchester United.

Di Maria, 26, is currently on World Cup duty with Argentina in Brazil, and started both of their Group F victories over Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran. The winger had an impressive season for Real, scoring 11 goals along the way, but it was his 26 assists that really stood out as he helped the Spanish side to the Champions League and Copa del Rey double.

While he admits that his focus is solely on helping Argentina win their third World Cup crown and a first for 28 years, Di Maria did concede that he does not know what will happen in the future.

“I've asked my agent not to tell me anything about the talks he's having,” said Di Maria.

“I don't know what's going to happen with my career. I don't want to know anything about my future right now.

“I'm focusing on my national team and not on what's going on elsewhere,” he added.

“My team-mates and I don't read or listen to all the things being said in the media.

“We're just thinking about ourselves and the unity of the group.”

Argentina have already sealed their progression into the second round, thanks largely down to star player Lionel Messi, who added to his match-winner in the 2-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina with a stunning injury-time strike to see off a spirited Iran side 1-0.

They face Nigeria on Wednesday knowing that a draw will see them qualify in top-spot, and set-up a last-16 tie against the runner-up of Group E – likely to be either Switzerland or Ecuador.
