Alvaro Morata has admitted that he could be persuaded to move to the Premier League, even though his preference is to establish himself to Real Madrid.

The Juventus striker, who moved to Turin from the La Liga giants two years ago, could yet return to his former club this summer if Madrid exercise a buy-back clause in his contract.

Morata may not stay on at the Santiago Bernabeu for long, however, with his boyhood club reportedly keen to sell him on again at an inflated price.

Arsenal are believed to be interested in the 23-year-old, who has now described the prospect of playing in England as ‘tempting’, despite his desire to prove himself at Madrid.

"That is my wish, to succeed in Madrid," he told AS. "But in Madrid there are great players. And what I want is to play and feel important.”

"There are some offers from England that are tempting, not only because of the contract. I think for my characteristics, the Premier League would be a great destination.

"I'm saying a move to the Premier League would not be a step backwards. With what I have learned in Italy, if I have the chance to learn something more in England I think it would make me a more complete, better player. I'm 23 and all I want is progress, to play and learn from the best."

Morata has an indifferent scoring record from his time in Serie A, scoring 15 league goals over the course of two seasons at Juventus.

The 23-year-old has fared better in European competition, scoring seven Champions League goals in the same period and starring in the Old Lady’s run to the 2015 final.

Morata, a full Spain international, has been included in Vicente del Bosque’s provisional squad for this summer’s European Championships.
