I know a lot of Gooners will be getting a bit frustrated with Arsenal's lack of spending so far this window, but to be fair to Wenger, he has always done that and they're always there, or there abouts, come the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger is a shrewd man and will only buy players that will improve his team. No offence to Liverpool, but he isn’t going to go and buy a Danny Ings – he will want players that he knows are going to add that extra bit of class to his squad.

You can keep adding to the squad but that doesn’t mean it will automatically improve. Cech is one of the best keepers around and he will 100 per cent strengthen the side from last year. Arsenal have struggled in that department for a few years now, but they’ve got one of the best keepers the Premier League has ever seen in Cech.

Looking at their current squad, they are top three all day long. Their midfield is class throughout – Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey are all ballers, while the lad Coquelin is an absolute unit and has added a bit of steel in front of the defense.

I still think they could improve a bit on their full backs. Hector Bellerin has got bags of potential, but still young. Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal are solid enough, but won’t get you off the edge of your seat.

The key thing is adding a solid centre half – if they can get in a quality centre-back before the end of the window, Arsenal will be right up there. For me, they have one of the best attacking forces in the league. Alexis Sanchez was absolute class last season, Theo Walcott is coming back fit and Olivier Giroud is always likely to pop up with a goal.

There has been a lot of talk about Karim Benzema recently and if they can get him in, that would make a huge difference. He is powerful, has pace in the abundance and brilliant in the air. Name me a better attack than Walcott, Sanchez, Giroud and Benzema – absolute mustard!

On paper Arsenal’s side is just as good as Chelsea’s all day long, the difference is that Chelsea know how to grind out results. If Arsenal can get those extra couple of players in before the end of the window, they will go toe to toe for the title this season.
