Long-time Arsenal target Julian Draxler has reiterated his desire to leave Wolfsburg after being booed by the club’s supporters.

The 23-year-old winger was jeered after coming on as a substitute in a 3-2 Bundesliga defeat to Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

Draxler’s commitment has been questioned by Wolfsburg’s support since August, when he claimed that he had intended to leave the club after Germany’s elimination from the summer’s European Championships.

After Saturday’s defeat to Hertha, Draxler said he understood why the fans booed him but insisted he 'stands by' his comments.

“I don’t think I need to tell anybody what [being booed] does to a person - it certainly doesn’t help you,” he said.

“There’s no doubt it makes it hard for you to perform on the field. I can understand the fans, though. They have every right to do that. I said in the summer the way I feel and I stand by that.”

With so much of Arsène Wenger’s forward line queuing up outside a treatment room, Carlos Bacca could arrive at the Emirates this winter, according to The Sun.

The 30-year-old Milan striker has apparently fallen out of favour with his manager Vincenzo Montella for travelling to watch his former club Sevilla while injured.

Bacca was linked with a move to the Emirates in the summer of 2015, before he eventually joined the Serie A club.

And not content with shellacking West Ham United 5-1 at the weekend, Arsenal may now pinch one their prodigies.

Declan Rice, a highly-rated 17-year-old midfielder, has caught Wenger’s attention, according to The Sun.

The Republic of Ireland youth international was named the Hammers academy’s player of the season last term.
