Arsene Wenger claims Arsenal are unlikely to make any further signings this month after completing the capture of defender Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal.

The 24-year-old moved to north London earlier this week for a fee in the region of £11million to become the Gunners’ second mid-season signing following the arrival of teenage midfielder Krystian Bielik.

The transfer window closes on Monday night and Wenger said: “If I wake up in the morning and somebody’s stood in front of my door who is an exceptional player, I will open the door. It looks very unlikely now. I can give you my address if you want. Number wise we look alright now, and quality as well.”
