Manchester United winger Ashley Young has emerged as a possible transfer target for Tottenham.

Spurs are keen to sign a wide man this summer with potential exits involving some or all of Erik Lamela, Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon likely.

Crystal Palace man Yannick Bolasie has been of interest, however his current club are fending off interest and have reportedly put a price tag of £25m on the 26-year-old Congo international.

That's led Tottenham to seek alternative options and it's thought Young is among them.

The 30-year-old had an impressive campaign last season, ousting Angel Di Maria as Louis van Gaal's favoured option on the left. However, the future of the former Aston Villa player is uncertain with his current deal due to expire next summer. With Andreas Pereira, Adnan Januzaj, Memphis Depay - and for now, Di Maria - as alternative options on the left, it is not inconceivable that United could look to cash in while they can.
