SPECULATION:

27 August: Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda is on the verge of a move to Blackburn after travelling to Lancashire for a medical this afternoon.

27 August: The Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is closing in on the Blackburn Rovers defender Stephen Warnock. Villa confirmed they are in discussions with the club about the player.

26 August: Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is closing in on Blackburn defender Stephen Warnock.

21 August: Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is monitoring Portsmouth's Sylvain Distin, James Collins of West Ham and the Blackburn defender Stephen Warnock.

19 August: Spanish full-back Michel Salgado has today joined Blackburn on a two-year deal.

4 August: Blackburn have struck deals to take young strikers Nikola Kalinic and Franco Di Santo to Ewood Park.

3 August: Blackburn are close to completing the signing of striker Nikola Kalinic after agreeing a fee with the Croatian international's club, Hadjuk Split.

28 July: So who's in, who's out – and what will your club do next?

17 July: Blackburn hope to have veteran striker Christian Vieri on show when they play in a three-team tournament in Croatia tomorrow.

8 July: The Italian striker Christian Vieri will train with Blackburn at their summer camp in Austria and undergo a trial for the club as he seeks to resurrect his career, the 35-year-old having been without a team since Atalanta released him in April.

7 July: Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce believes he has been priced out of a move for Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. The former Manchester United forward has slipped down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and Allardyce was interested in bringing the 32-year-old back to England. However, the Rovers boss said the Dutchman's wages were proving prohibitive to any move, with his current level of fitness also contributing to his decision not to pursue any transfer.

5 July: The IoS transfer-merry go-round: a comprehensive list of players linked in the past week to your club; plus those who have signed on the dotted line.

4 July: Former Italy striker Christian Vieri, 35, is set to sign for Blackburn Rovers, according to reports in Italy. The much-travelled forward, who has played for Juventus, Internazionale, Atletico Madrid and Milan, spent last season with Atalanta.

30 June: Blackburn have signed French midfielder Steven N'Zonzi from Amiens SC on a four-year contract. The 20-year-old, who represented France at youth level, has moved to Ewood Park for an undisclosed fee.
