CHELSEA BOUND...

Lionel Messi's instagram account has caused quite a stir in the transfer world this morning.

The Argentine superstar last night started following the official Chelsea account and the accounts of players Cesc Fabregas and Thibaut Courtois - prompting many to jump to the conclusion that he is now getting ready to arrive at Stamford Bridge. Messi, and a number of other Barca players, are reported to have fallen out with new manager Luis Enrique, who left a number of players on the bench for the defeat against David Moyes' Real Sociedad.

Messi also started following Manchester City and Newell's Old Boys - we'll mark this down as a three-horse race...

Wilfried Bony has set top Premier League clubs on 'red alert', according to the Daily Express after he demanded he be sold by Swansea to a Champions League club. Chelsea will face a battle for the striker with Arsenal, Manchester United and City also interested.

According to the Guardian, Jose Mourinho will look to sign Micah Richards from title rivals Manchester City on a free in the summer, when his loan move in Italy comes to an end.

Chelsea have also set their sights on Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi to replace Didier Drogba in the summer, should the veteran striker choose to retire.

ON THE WAY OUT...

Despite the sale of Mark Schwarzer to Leicester City, some outlets are reporting that Mourinho will leave himself with only Thibaut Courtois and Jamal Blackman as the two goalkeepers in his squad after deciding to sell Petr Cech to Roma.

Apparently the deal will go through in the next few days.

THE DEAL'S OFF...

Despite agreeing terms after flying to London on Monday, prolific Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric has decided to snub Chelsea in favour for Leicester. Kramaric would have been loaned to the Foxes immediately but has decided to join Nigel Pearson on a permanent deal.
