Chelsea will be embroiled in a saga to hold on to reigning Premier League Player of the Year Eden Hazard, if the British press is to be believed.

As was widely reported on Wednesday, new Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is a huge fan of Hazard's, 24, rating him as his third favourite player to watch in November, behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

With both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale linked with a move away from the Bernabeu during this window, Hazard is seen as the man to take over for Los Blancos.

That's nothing new to what was reported previously, but the Daily Mail state that Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign him (that could be re-entered the race considering PSG have been linked with Hazard since he first joined the Blues).

The Mail states, however, that Hazard will not leave the club this month and will instead stay in west London until the summer, when he will definitely make a move. PSG may well make a bid this month as Hazard is unsettled, but Chelsea value him at around £90million.

This one is set to run and run.

Should Gareth Bale decide to leave Real Madrid then Chelsea would interested and are one of four clubs, according to The Sun, who have made subtle enquiries for the Welshman.

Bale, 26, could well cost £120m, and although president Florentino Perez says he is not for sale for any price, Bale is said to be worried about his future at the club since the departure of Rafa Benitez.

Bale was central to Benitez's plans, but Zidane is likely to recall James Rodriguez and Isco, who had been frozen out under the Spaniard.

We wait for the inevitable 'BALE FOR HAZARD SWAP DEAL' rumours in the coming days.

In one of the more ridiculous rumours of the day, the Blues are said to be making a £44.2m move for Everton centre-back John Stones, according to the Metro, via Fichajes, who are correct on roughly one in 1,000 transfer rumours.

That price may seem an odd one (why would the clubs not round it up or down?) but that's because it's €50m converted to pounds. Of course.

Loic Remy's future remains under threat at Chelsea, with Turkish giants Galatasaray joining the numerous clubs interested in the Frenchman.

Off the field it gets a bit more interesting. Club legend Didier Drogba has confirmed he is in talks with current club Montreal Impact to try and re-join the Blues as a coach.

The Evening Standard report that Roman Abramovich has not given up in the chase for the elusive Pep Guardiola, despite the Bayern Munich apparently being set on Manchester City.

The oligarch will offer Guardiola a bigger salary and transfer budget than even City can afford.
