Does this mean Real Madrid have failed in their approach for Manchester United's David De Gea this summer?
Keylor Navas has been handed the No 1 shirt for the club, taking over the number from the recently departed Iker Casillas.
The Costa Rican Navas had previously worn the No 13 shirt.
De Gea has been linked with a move back to Spain all summer to replace Casillas, who moved to Porto earlier this month, bringing down the curtain on 16 trophy-laden years in the Real first-team.
Navas joined Real from Levante in 2012, and as things stand will battle with Kiko Casilla for the goalkeeper's place.
Casilla, 28, re-joined the club from Espanyol last week for £4.2m. Real had retained 50% ownership of the 28-year-old when he left them for Espanyol in 2007.
Reports in Spain, however, state that Real have not given up hope of signing United goalkeeper De Gea, who is currently out on the Old Trafford side's US tour.
The 24-year-old, however, missed United's 1-0 win over Club America in pre-season with a "minor injury", according to manager Louis van Gaal.
"David De Gea and Antonio Valencia were injured, minor injuries, but we cannot take any risks," said Van Gaal said.
