Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has said he could leave the club this summer, setting a trio of Premier League sides on high alert.

The 28-year-old has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool in the past and is unhappy at having to play on the wing for the majority of his spell in the French capital, with Laurent Blanc preferring Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the central role.

"I don't know whether I will stay at PSG. I might stay, I might leave... You never know what will happen in football," Cavani told GQ.

"When I arrived at PSG, I was forced to play on the wing. People don't understand how much that has influenced my performances. I would score a lot more if I was played as a striker.

"I want to play as a striker. I would without a doubt do much better in my own position."

Despite playing out of position, Cavani has scored 50 goals in 91 matches for the club and would not come cheap.

With a contract running for another three years, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has previously stated that he would not even consider an offer of €50million (£36.4m).
