26 August: Everton manager David Moyes is chasing Portsmouth defender Sylvain Distin, who has handed in a transfer request at Fratton Park.

7 July: Brazilian striker Jo is with Everton at their Scottish training camp ahead of a likely loan move being agreed with Manchester City. Jo, who scored five goals in 11 games on loan at Everton last season but was cup-tied for the run to the FA Cup final, is expected to have a season-long loan to the Goodison Park club confirmed shortly.

6 July: Everton are today expected to confirm the signing of 22-year-old American midfielder Anton Peterlin. Peterlin will be manager David Moyes' first summer signing, after impressing on a 10-day trial last season, when he was able to attend the FA Cup victory over Middlesbrough.
