1 September: Everton have confirmed the signing of Johnny Heitinga from Atletico Madrid for £6m.

28 August: Everton have signed defender Sylvain Distin from Portsmouth on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

26 August: Everton manager David Moyes is chasing Portsmouth defender Sylvain Distin, who has handed in a transfer request at Fratton Park.

26 August: Manchester City new boy Joleon Lescott claims David Moyes' criticisms of his attitude are "inaccurate" but not something he wishes to dwell on at the moment.

25 August: Everton have confirmed the signing of Russia midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov from Lokomotiv Moscow for an undisclosed fee.

24 August: Everton manager David Moyes last night insisted that he would use money from the sale of Joleon Lescott to bring in some experienced new players before the transfer window closes.

5 August: Everton are close to bringing in 21-year-old American striker Cody Arnoux from Dynamo Carolina.

4 August: Everton today confirmed that they are in negotiations to sign Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos. But the Goodison Park club said that a fee has yet to be agreed for the 24-year-old Swiss international.

31 July: Everton are bracing themselves for another Manchester City bid for Joleon Lescott but insist they will not sell the England international even for £30m.

13 July: Everton are locked in what could soon become a three-club battle to sign Sheffield United's full-back Kyle Naughton.

8 July: Everton are eager to secure the services of Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour, a former team-mate of Marouane Fellaini.

8 July: Brazilian striker Jo is likely to be involved in Everton's first pre-season friendly at Bury on Friday. The former CSKA Moscow striker, who spent five months on loan at Goodison Park from Manchester City last season, is with the Toffees at their Scottish training camp as the final points of another loan deal are completed.

7 July: Brazilian striker Jo is with Everton at their Scottish training camp ahead of a likely loan move being agreed with Manchester City. Jo, who scored five goals in 11 games on loan at Everton last season but was cup-tied for the run to the FA Cup final, is expected to have a season-long loan to the Goodison Park club confirmed shortly.

6 July: Everton are today expected to confirm the signing of 22-year-old American midfielder Anton Peterlin. Peterlin will be manager David Moyes' first summer signing, after impressing on a 10-day trial last season, when he was able to attend the FA Cup victory over Middlesbrough.

1 July: Rennes midfielder Stephane Mbia is on the move according to agent Ralph Isenegger. "We are in talks. It is a draw between Marseilles and Everton so far."
