The Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson is poised to complete his switch to Liverpool, with £13m and French forward David Ngog heading the other way.

Henderson is due to depart with England for the European Under-21 Championship in Denmark today, but could complete the formalities for his move by the weekend. As well as securing the promising 20-year-old on a five-year deal, Kenny Dalglish remains keen to capture the services of Blackpool's £8m-rated playmaker Charlie Adam.
