Juan Cuadrado to leave Chelsea: Juventus eye loan move for Blues misfit but Jose Mourinho will only allow a permanent move
Juventus interested in taking winger on loan but Chelsea will only let him leave for around £18m
Chelsea misfit Juan Cuadrado will not leave the club on a loan spell, meaning any move to Juventus will see his stay at Stamford Bridge end permanently after just half a year.
The Colombian winger joined Chelsea in a £23m deal from Italian side Fiorentina last January, but failed to make an impact during the Blues’ run in to the Premier League title.
Having made just four starts in total during his six months at the club, Cuadrado failed to register a single goal or assist, and has so far failed to impress manager Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea potential arrivals and exits - July
Show all 1It had been reported that Mourinho would give the 27-year-old another chance to show he can cut it in the Premier League, but with Italian champions Juventus interested in his services, Chelsea could be ready to cut their losses and let Cuadrado move back to Serie A.
According to The Sun, Chelsea are willing to take a £5m hit on the sale of Cuadrado and let him leave for around £18m should the Italian side lodge a formal bid.
