Transfer deadline day summer 2019: The deals done so far

Liverpool are yet to add to their side as they aim to go one better than last season’s Premier League campaign and pip Manchester City to the title.

After getting 97 points and losing just one league game in the process, it is of no surprise that Jurgen Klopp is not desperate to add to his side.

This summer’s widow may therefore be one of adding you talent to supplement the first team rather than Liverpool going out and spending millions on a top player.

There will be a number of players that may be leaving Anfield, fringe members of the side looking for first team football elsewhere.

Here’s a selection of the best Liverpool news on Tuesday

Liverpool are close to signing 17-year-old Sepp van den Berg from Dutch side PEC Zwolle, beating Ajax, Bayern Munich and PSV Eindhoven for his signature.

The central defender and have a medical on Wednesday ahead of a £1.79m move, claim The Telegraph.

Italian side Sampdoria failed with a £2.25m bid for him in January, but Liverpool have managed to get him at a cheaper price as he enters the final year of his contract.

Reds transfer target Nicolas Pepe, who has attracted attention from many Premier League sides, favours a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Liverpool and Manchester United were reported to have been preparing bids, but the Lille forward is seemingly set to stay in France this summer.

In terms of outgoings, Crystal Palace are said to be interested in signing Simon Mignolet, who is set to leave the club this summer.

Mignolet would provide competition to Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey for the number one spot, say the Evening Stanadard.

Liverpool could turn their attention to Southampton’s Alex McCarthy and try and bring him back to Anfield if Mignolet leaves.
