Manchester City look set to lock horns with Real Madrid and Chelsea in the race to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba.

The French international has attracted interest from a host of Europe's biggest clubs after his stunning form for Juve in recent seasons.

Madrid are believed to be leading the chase for Pogba whose agent, according to the Daily Mirror, will demand a world-record fee if he leaves Serie A.

The 21-year-old only left Manchester United in 2012 and has even been linked with a surprise return to Old Trafford.

Should City fail in an audacious move for Pogba, Everton’s Ross Barkley is reportedly another name on Manuel Pellegrini's wanted list.

The Everton midfielder has long been admired by the Chilean boss but Barkley is thought to be luke-warm about such a deal.

Meanwhile, United manager Louis van Gaal is interested in a move to sign Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia, according to reports.

The 29-year-old has also been linked with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain and would cost up to £8m should either club make their interest known.
